it's been real, blogger.
You know what I really hate? When people whose blog I've been reading for a while suddenly decide to switch blog hosts. You have to update your browser bookmark for them, and then edit your blogroll as well. What a hassle...can't they just stick with what they have? Flighty people, I swear.
*nervous foot shuffle*
Well, I'm one of those people. I've been on Blogger since I started blogging a few years back, but my issues with it have grown as of late. Spotty connectivity, tons of lost posts (until I started using Windows Live Writer), and so on. I've also somehow lost the ability to do something as simple as edit the page code to include my own custom image header, something that went without a hitch the last time I updated the look of the page.
Anyway, I've had a test blog on Wordpress for a while, and I really like the way it works. It has lots of features that Blogger doesn't offer, and the dashboard is far more comprehensive. Add to that the fact that it lets you import your entire Blogger blog, comments and all, and the decision was an easy one.
So, today the Munchkin Wrangler is pulling up stakes and leaving blogger.com. I have migrated the whole blog over to the new site already. If you're one of my twelve or so regular readers, please update your bookmarks and/or blogrolls to:
http://munchkinwrangler.wordpress.com
That is all on this channel, folks. See you over at the new place!

Good move. Friends don't let friends use Blogspot.
Now go all the way and get your own domain (10 bucks a year at godaddy.com) and your own Web hosting account (costs six bucks a month all over the place - I use Westhost.com). Then you'll never have to change Web addresses or email address again.

ok, now I am interested. You are not the first person to be lured into the mind numbing song of the harpies. Maybe its time to take a look at the word press myself.
